Well, preference in movies is one area we can all have different opinions and it's A-OK. Not like which tire is best, ha ha.

Oh I know that. I'm neither a college student or a little kid. Avatar, is not a remake of Avatar:The Last Airbender. M.Night Shamaylan had to remove the references to Aang being the Avatar from most of the film if I'm not mistaken. I was excited to see "The Last Airbender" but after I read the reviews, and realized you can't condense a couple of dozen hours of intricate plot and an amazing world, into an hour an a half, my attitude changed. I still want to see it, but I'm afraid that it's going to do what the Lord of the Rings movies did for the book, that is leaving out 50% of the plot and not even compensate by being a good movie.

I think I got two movies mixed up. Ones got blue aliens and one's got a bald kid with an arrow tattooed on his head. Both have been done in the past year. I agree they could only do an episode in a movie, and will probably miss the mark. I'll see them when they're out on NF.
I hate to admit it but I find anime theme music catchy. I'm an '80s rock/metal guy but have a strange affection for a couple of J-Pop/K-Pop groups.
Last films I sat all the way through was On-Bak and High Kick Girl. Second one is actually full of martial arts champions and shows replays of moves during the various fight scenes - not what you'd expect from the cover. And to please Her Highness, I've napped through innumerable romantic comedies.

I just love anime, I don't care how nerdy that sounds.

Baltimore's Inner Harbor is fun to be in when the Anime convention is on! Much better than the Trekkies. You see all types walking around in their favorite characters' costumes. Some look silly, some thrown together, some well researched, and some well tailored with all the accoutrement's. The participants seem to have fun and that's what its about.
Most guys look the same but some of the girls are hot. Quite funny to see a group of Vietnamese girls dressed in Japanese school girls uniforms or a blond with a translucent body suit that, well, I don't see how she didn't get arrested.
